Terms of Service

MCXIV (“MCXIV”, “we”, “us”) is provided by Pranava Iyer, operating as MCXIV. By creating an account, subscribing or continuing to use the service you agree to these terms. If you are using MCXIV on behalf of an organisation you confirm you have authority to bind it; if you are using it as an individual you confirm you are of legal age to contract.

MCXIV is a research and analytics tool. It ingests MCX bhavcopy files that you supply, solves implied volatility and greeks with the Black-76 model, and lets you replay and study historical option positions. All outputs are estimates derived from end-of-day data and modelling assumptions.

Nothing on MCXIV is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument. Margin figures are approximations of exchange methodology and will differ from your broker’s actual requirement. Every trading decision you make is your own responsibility and is taken at your own risk.

You must not use MCXIV unlawfully or fraudulently; infringe anyone’s intellectual property; upload malware; probe, scan or interfere with the security or integrity of the service; scrape or bulk-extract the service; resell or redistribute access; reverse engineer the software; or circumvent technical or plan limits. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account, and for providing accurate account information.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use MCXIV within your selected plan. We retain all rights in the service, its software, models, documentation and branding. You retain rights in the data files you upload; you grant us only the limited licence needed to process and store them so the service can function.

We work to keep MCXIV available and accurate, but the service is provided without any guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically for the plan length you chose (weekly, monthly, six-monthly or annual) until cancelled. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues to the end of the paid period. See our Refund Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination your right to use MCXIV ends; locally stored data in your browser remains yours and any data held by us is deleted or anonymised in line with our Privacy Notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses, including lost profits, trading losses, lost data or loss of goodwill. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where such exclusion is not permitted by law.

You will indemnify us against claims arising from the content you upload, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. We may update these terms and will post the revised version here with a new date.
